Morning Light Photography

Hello, dears!

Today I have some more lovely light photography for you! Instead of a photoshoot at golden hour, I took these in the morning. Sometimes I go outside to feed the rabbits or something and find too much beauty to leave unphotographed, which naturally means I postpone my other plans and take some pictures before the light changes. πŸ™‚

This time, instead of editing my photos as usual, I decided just to let the pictures shine as they are – terrible pun intended. I did edit a few very minimally, but for the most part these are straight out of the camera!

Enjoy the results of me wandering around the yard with a camera in dreamy lighting. πŸ™‚

Sunflower at Golden Hour {Sisters Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

I’m back with the promised golden hour photoshoot today! My sister Megan received a beautiful sunflower shirt for review from this shop, so of course we had to get a bunch of pictures for her post. (Also I literally just realized I copied her title after I finished writing the post. :’D ) We had fun finding different photo locations and attemptingΒ to think of different poses, heh heh. I hope you enjoy these golden photos!

Sweet Sixteen Barn Dance

Hello, dears!

Remember how one of our friends had a barn dance at our shop last year for her birthday party? Well, this year we did it again and it was SO much fun! The shop was a mess, so it was a good thing we had a dance motivating us to clean it up. πŸ˜› I took plenty of pictures throughout the preparation and actual party, of course, and I hope you guys enjoy browsing through them!

Whatever Floats Your Boat {Pond Swimming}

Hello, dears!

Remember the post from last year about swimming in our duckweed-covered pond? Well, it’s swimming season again and “our pool is open!” XD It’s a rather greenish pool, but hey, it’s water, right?

One Sunday evening a couple of weeks ago, we all went down to the dock and my siblings went swimming and canoeing. Sort of. I stayed on dry land and took photos instead, heh heh. I managed to capture quite a lot of amusing action shots and funny expressions, which I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Ready? Set? Go!

Golden Hour Walk + My Favorite Music

Hello, dears!

Last Saturday evening I decided to wander around our farm and take some pictures, and I’m so glad I did! The woods and fields looked so peaceful and gorgeous in the golden light. ❀ Since the lighting was perfect, I focused on adjusting the settings in the moment to capture beauty without having to edit it later.

I absolutely love how the photos turned out, but instead of just saying that after every photo, I’m going to share some of my favorite music interspersed throughout with a link to a YouTube video for each of them. πŸ™‚ I mostly listen to Christian music, but I also have a few pop, country, classical/instrumental, and folk songs on my playlist. Pretty much whatever strikes my fancy. XD They’re all clean, though; you don’t have to worry about that. πŸ˜‰

Now, I hope you enjoy the photoshoot and maybe even find some new music to add to your collection!

~ Fields of Purple ~

Hello, dears!

I’ve loved purple basically my whole life, so I was thrilled to see a little “meadow” of purple henbit pop up in one of our fields. Henbit is rather an ugly weed up close, but from the right perspective it can be stunning – so of course, I set off with my camera to find and capture that right perspective. πŸ˜‰

My little sister and I went to explore it one morning, but sadly I can’t find the pictures from that day. 😦 At least I still have these pictures (which are probably better anyway) from more recently to show you guys! This will be a short and sweet post, but I hope you enjoy all this sun-soaked purple as I have. πŸ™‚

Photography Challenge {My Entries}

Hello, dears!

A little while ago, the marvelousΒ Amanda came up with a 12-day photography challenge for her photographer friends and herself. I was one of the aforementioned, and it was a lot of fun! Several of us contributed prompts and then posted our photos from each day on a Google Doc, so all the other participants could see them as well. I enjoyed intentionally creating photos instead of just snapping a picture of whatever was already there, like I usually do.

So, as you might guess, today I’ll be showing you the photos I took for this challenge! Continue reading
