Etcetera #15 {Doughnut Making, a Spring Festival, and Old Hotels}

Hello, my friends!

Get ready for a LOT of pictures today because I haven’t done one of these miscellaneous photography posts in five months! I still haven’t shared small adventures from way back in December, like making doughnuts and going on a rather spontaneous road-trip. Not to mention more recent events like a spring festival our friends put on with barn dancing and competitions and lots of fun memories. And, of course, plenty of pretty nature and landscape photos as usual. πŸ™‚

Enjoy this mixed-up collections of moments from the past half year!

Birthday Explorations {a Green Truck Ride}

Hello, my friends!

Last week for my birthday, I chose to go on a Green Truck Ride around the farm and it was PERFECT, ahh! “Green truck rides” are kinda a lost tradition in our family. Dad has this vintage, mint-green Chevy truck he built that’s perfect for exploring our land in, but for the past four or five years it’s been out of repair. He finally fixed it up and we got to drive around at golden hour in perfect weather for my 21st birthday! It was an absolutely lovely evening.

Enjoy some happy photos of a delightfully flower-lined path, a soggy dog, and golden hour goodness.

Farewell, 2020 {My Year in Review}

Hello, my friends! (New year, new greeting. πŸ˜‰ )

Well, 2020 is behind us. It felt like we’d never be able to say that there for a while, huh? πŸ˜› Anyway, today I’m back with my annual year-in-review post! This has been the weirdest, and in many ways the hardest year of my life, but it’s also taught me gratitude in a way normal years just can’t. So here’s a recap of lessons learned, highlights of the year, my favorite books and music, blog stats, and goals/resolutions.

This year I also have an exciting announcement + a little survey for you guys if you’re interested! Okay, this is going to be a loooong post, so let’s get started.

Creek Adventures, Terrible Puns, and a Marvelous Weekend

Hello, dears!

Last weekend was WONDERFUL because I got to see my best friend! πŸ˜€ Aria just got married (joy!) and moved fifteen hours away from me (sadness…). But recently she came to visit us with her husband Andrew, and Andrew’s best friend, Fleet. It brought back so many memories, like her proposal/engagement, her wedding, and the first time she visited our farm in 2018.

We had a blast exploring the farm, building a dam in the creek, making too much food, finding strange creatures, etc. Enjoy some of my favorite pictures!

Aria’s Wedding! {Lots of Pictures :)}

Hello, dears!

AHHHH. As you can imagine, I am so, SO excited to be making this post! EEEP. For those of you who don’t know, I recently had the privilege to be in my best friend’s wedding with my sister Megan and oh my goodness, it was amazing, despite all the changes COVID19 made.

This was the first time I’ve been in a wedding, not to mention been a maid-of-honor, and it was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed spending time with the rest of the wedding party and seeing all the beautiful decorations and just the general excitement of it all, although MAN did it make us all exhausted.

I hope you guys enjoy this little “travel journal” post of flowers, dresses, spiders, cameras, friends, hymnals, steamers, and the best memories. Have fun scrolling through the weekend! πŸ™‚

Etcetera #11

Hello, dears!

Yikes. I haven’t done an “etcetera” post in three months – my computer is about to burst with random photos! I went through these again and again and eventually couldn’t bear to narrow them down anymore, so prepare for the biggest photo dump I’ve posted on here in a while. O.o This may require a cup of hot something or a snack, if you’re that kind of person. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, I’m rather excited about this mish-mashed collection of cute pups, jelly beans, self portraits, foggy photography, tangled plants, adventures, and aesthetic pictures. πŸ™‚ I’ll keep my captions to a minimum so you can just scroll and enjoy.

(Also happy Valentine’s day; I almost forgot. XD) Let’s do this!

Adventures in Christmasing, 2019

Hello, dears!

My, it feels like a while since my last post. I like the new schedule. πŸ˜› I’m also quite happy to be back and showing you guys some of the MANY photos I took over the past holidays.

We’re gonna cover weird cats, cute dogs, cute little humans, a pretty moon… actually most of these photos don’t look Christmasy at all; I just happened to take them at one of our four Christmas celebrations. πŸ˜‰ Enjoy this collection of random bits of joy!

Farewell, 2019 {My Year in Review}

Hello, dears!

It’s time for my annual huge New Year’s post! πŸ˜€ Today I’m gonna be reviewing the biggest events of my 2019; a short list of favorite books and music; blog stats; and, of course, my goals and resolutions! I love looking back on these posts. Every time, my past self looks a little strange, God’s grace clearly abounds and overflows, and the memories bring me back to times I hope I never forget.

Although there weren’t as many dramatic highs and lows as last year, 2019 was a good year for me, and I grew a lot (not physically πŸ˜‰ ). God led me through several things that stretched me out of my comfort zone and made me depend completely on him because I obviously couldn’t do it myself. And he was faithful. He always is, and yet somehow I still doubt that again and again. *sigh* What a merciful Lord we have, don’t we?

Anyway. Let’s get into the post before the intro gets any longer. XD Right this way, please!

Adventures in Christmas Tree-ing

Hello, dears!

I’m finally making the annual “Getting Our Christmas Tree” post! This year the experience was… heh, interesting. We kept having troubles with the tree and the decorations and… yeah. This will be a Christmas to remember! :’D At this point it’s a wonder the poor thing is still living (sort of) to tell the tale!

Speaking of which, I should get started with the post now. Once upon a time, there lived an average, unsuspecting evergreen on Christmas tree farm…
