Small Town Explorations {Fourth Fun, Part 1}

Hello, dears!

Today I have some fun city photography for you for a change! I took a bunch of pictures when our cousins came to visit us on Independence Day weekend and we all went on a lovely day trip to a nearby town. As you’ll see, it’s quite an aesthetic and well-kept place, with plenty of excellent photography opportunities – from painted murals to vintage diners. Enjoy this little walk about town!

A Walk in the Wildflowers

Hello, dears!

My sister Megan and I planted a TON of flowers this year. We were skeptical at first about whether they’d work since we hadn’t tried wildflowers here before… but wow, did they grow! We now have two little wildflower patches overflowing with blooms, plus a longer stretch of flowers near the end of our family’s garden. And, knowing me, you’ll not be surprised to hear that I have taken tons of pictures. πŸ˜‰

I’ve narrowed down some of my favorite pictures to show you guys today, including a goodly selection of macro photography. I hope you enjoy these bright and colorful beauties at the golden hour!

Bible Journaling {Psalms}

Hello, dears!

Almost every night I read a chapter of the Bible and copy down my favorite verse in a little notebook. I’ve been doing this for years while reading through the Bible a second time, and I’m happy to say I recently completed the book of Psalms! I thought I’d post a selection of my favorite verses and lettering pieces today. πŸ™‚

The book of Psalms is filled with deep emotions,Β  rich prayers, and beautiful hymns, and I’ve enjoyed capturing bits of them to easily look back on later. I hope you enjoy these reminders of God’s truth as well! You can see a few more verses from the beginning of Psalms here if you want to check out more of my Bible journaling.

Let’s get started!

Cousins, Pools, and Ice Cream Spills

Hello, dears!

We recently took a trip to our old farm for several events, including attending a funeral, swimming, and going out to eat. I didn’t take pictures of the first, but I did of the other two. πŸ˜‰ If you like swimming, ice cream, or summer adventures, you might enjoy this post! I’d love to hear about what summer adventures you go on after you finish!

And since that’s apparently all the intro this thing needs, let’s get straight into the post. πŸ˜‰

My extra photos have been piling up and nagging me like an itch in the back of my mind, so I finally sat down and sorted them all out for my blog. πŸ˜‰ I hope you enjoy these many random pictures ranging from lightning to rope swings to disgruntled cats. Have fun browsing!

In Which I Meet a Pen Pal

Hello, dears!

GUESS WHAT? I recently got to meet one of my pen pals and blogger friends, the amazing Charis Rae! She and her family visited our farm and spent the night in our guest house last week, and we all had SO much fun together, ahhh!

Charis is pen pals with Megan and I, and her sister is pen pals with my sister Carmen. It was super neat to see each other in real life for the first time! The rest of our siblings got along wonderfully too, and it was just all around a lovely time. πŸ™‚

Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their visit!

Garden Reflections

Hello, dears!

Nope, this post isn’t going to be deep thoughts about gardening or anything. Just some pretty macro raindrop photography. πŸ˜‰

As you probably know if you’ve followed me for a little while, water drops are one of my favorite photography subjects, and this time I even managed to capture a few upside-down reflections in the droplets – even better! I hope you enjoy this lush photoshoot!
