  1. Hey, Allison 🙂 Could I use your idea of Mystery Pictures on my blog? I’m scrambling my brain for idea to write about. 😛 It’s ok if not. 😉

    1. Surely, Zielle! And you don’t have to do this, but if you’d like, you could add a link to one of my mystery pictures in your post. Just if you like, though! I’d love to guess your mystery pictures!

  2. I think it’s really neat how different (in a really good way) your blog and Megan’s blog are. 🙂 You’re both sisters, and you both post about farm life, being crafty, but each of you have your unique ideas. 😀 👏🏼

  3. Hey Allison! Would you be interested in participating in my basketball bracket game? I don’t know if you care about basketball and March Madness much, but it would be fun to play with you. 🙂 If you don’t want to, that’s okay, though. 🙂

    1. Oh, ha ha, that’s so funny because our friends are doing that too! XD But honestly, I know practically nothing about sports or basketball, so I’m afraid I would be a terrible teammate. XD But thank you for asking! 😀

      1. Hehe, that’s funny! Well, that’s okay if you don’t want to, but it doesn’t really matter if you know much or not. It’s really just a lot of guessing, and who knows-you could have some “beginners luck!” It’s not like the experts really know that much. 😉 To play it safe you can always go with the higher seeded team(a #1 seed is the highest). It’s really fun to play in a bracket game(well in my opinion), but I get it if you don’t want to. So I could send you an invitation to my bracket game if you were at all interested. 😉
Do you know if Megan would like to play in my bracket game?

          1. Okay, hi Megan! XD
No, my bracket game is on CBS Sports. I would send you an invite to my bracket game, and then you would need to make an account. After that you can just fill out the bracket! To send an invite could I just use the email you’ve commented with on my blog?

  4. Hi Allison! 🙂

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m always amazed by how many views and comments your posts get! You have a huge fan group! 🙂 My question is: How did you get them all? I found you through your sister through another blog, but there must have been some way you got them all? And got them to comment, which says something!!!! 🙂 I’m lucky, at this point on my blog, if I get 2 views per post, and 1 comment every 7 posts or so. So just wondering. 🙂

    1. Hey, Olivia!

You know, that’s a good question – and I’m actually not sure what the answer is myself. XD But let me see…

Okay, first and foremost, the main reason I have so many followers is because my blog was featured on WordPress Discover, a blog maintained by the editors of WordPress that features their favorite WordPress content. Since Discover has, like, millions of followers, a few of them came over to visit my blog. I still can hardly believe they featured me and I’m not sure why they picked my blog, but I’m certainly glad they did!

Secondly, a tip to get more readers is to work hard on your posts and only post the things you would be excited to read on someone else’s blog. Blog about the things you love, things with substance rather than just tags and abstract bloggy things. And pictures are always a good attention-getter. 😉

It REALLY helps to interact with other bloggers. Comment on their posts, follow their blogs, make friends with them! I’ve made so many wonderful blogger friends through WordPress which would be worth it even if I had like 1/4 the follows and comments and stuff. 🙂 For me, getting to know the people is the best part about blogging, and WordPress has a great blogger community. If you make friends with bloggers who share your interests, chances are they’d be more than happy to follow your blog because they blog about the same things you do!

Also try to post regularly and fairly often, like maybe at least once a week. But definitely don’t post more than once a day or that gets annoying. XD

Let’s see… oh yes, make sure your posts are grammatically correct, because a sloppy blog is MUCH less appealing, even if the content is great.

So yeah! That’s about all the tips I can think of right now. I hope they help! 😀

      1. Wow, thanks for the thorough guide!!! 🙂

I’m doing all but one of those things already, so I think now it’s just a matter of time. The one that hasn’t happened to me of course being WordPress Discover.

I post about 3 times a week, never on the same day, I post about things I love, adventures I’ve gone on, pictures, and lots more! 🙂

Did you ever do guest posts?

        Thanks so much, Allison! 😀

        1. Hee hee, no problem! 😀
Aww yeah. Well I didn’t hardly have any followers or viewers at first either, so just keep it up, I guess! It sounds like you’re doing great!
Hmm, well I don’t usually do guest posts, but maybe I could do a shoutout or link to your blog? Is that what you were meaning?
          You’re welcome, Olivia! 😀

          1. Haha, well I wasn’t exactly hinting, but I wouldn’t mind doing that if you’re willing! 🙂 I feel like a lot of your readers would enjoy my blog too!

            🙂
P.S. Oh, and someone commented on my post with your poem in it!!!

            1. Hee hee, okay! 😀 Hopefully I can give you a shoutout in my next post, then!

              P. S. Ooh yes! I saw that! It was very nice of them, and so nice of you to repost it. Thanks again!

  5. I discovered your blog about two months ago, and it is so inspiring! I love seeing bloggers share crafts and photography, which you honestly don’t see a lot of today! Oh, and the snow thing you have going on is really impressive! How did you incorporate that onto your blog? I’ve never seen a blogger use it before so that is why I’m asking. 🙂

  6. Hi! I had a question. On lulu, where you published your books, are you supposed to give them your cover and back cover in the same document as your book?

    Like

    1. Wait, I figured it out. I am using lulu to hopefully print out a poetry book to give as Christmas gifts to family and friends. (Not to sell online or in stores) Have a great day!!
