In Bloom {A Collection of Springy Floral Photos}

Hello, dears!

It’s cloudy out my window right now, but it’s also GREEN. Spring is springing where I live, and I, not surprisingly, have thusly taken many photos in the past weeks. I’ve ended up with quite a few flower photos that are too pieced-up for their own post and too overwhelming for an Etcetera post, so I shall dump them on you here. πŸ™‚

If you’re in need of a little color and spring joy today, have some pretty photos! I hope you enjoy. ❀

Meet Nellie {Baby Goat Cuteness}

Hello, dears!

Just in case you’re tired of bad news, dire warnings, and thinking that the world is falling apart… here’s a little post to remind you there’s still happiness in the world. πŸ™‚ In this case, it comes in the form of my little sister and her absolutely adorable new pet.

Carmen just bought a baby dwarf goat (so she’s extra tiny), named her Nellie, and HELP. THE CUTENESS OVERLOAD IS REAL. I will say that I normally don’t care for goats, but I’m not sure it’s possible to dislike Nellie. She’s the friendliest, sweetest goat I have ever encountered – she’s basically a dog or a cat – and… well, the pictures will have to do the rest. πŸ˜‰

Ready for a smile?

Macro Explorations {Raindrop Photography}

Hello, dears!

Ahh, guys, I’m so excited for this post because I have to say – this is my favorite nature photoshoot I’ve done in quite a while! πŸ˜€ If you’re a regular reader around here, you know that raindrop photography is a recurring theme with me, heh. If you’re new, hopefully the reason why will be clear after you read the post. πŸ˜‰ I don’t think I’ll ever not be amazed at the perfect little jewels that literally coat the ground after a rain.

Macro photography isn’t really going to change your life or anything, but maybe it can remind you that there’s beauty and wonder everywhere, even in the rain, even when the big picture looks a lot like a sopping wet backyard in winter. You know? πŸ™‚ It does for me.

Anyway. Let’s get into it!

Explore with Me 004 | Nature Art

Hello, dears!

Phew, I’ve been thinking about this post for months, so I’m quite happy to finally be making it! This might be my favorite idea so far in this series. *rubs hands*

In case you’re wondering, I started this series to motivate myself (and you!) to get outside and have something interesting unique or creative to do out there. πŸ˜‰ So I take you with me on a walk around our farm, adding in a little twist or art/photography prompt that you can try too, where you live.

Today we’re going to collect bits and pieces of nature and arrange them into beautiful art! If you love being creative but don’t really consider yourself an artist, I think you’re going to enjoy this one. πŸ™‚

Let’s go!

Etcetera #11

Hello, dears!

Yikes. I haven’t done an “etcetera” post in three months – my computer is about to burst with random photos! I went through these again and again and eventually couldn’t bear to narrow them down anymore, so prepare for the biggest photo dump I’ve posted on here in a while. O.o This may require a cup of hot something or a snack, if you’re that kind of person. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, I’m rather excited about this mish-mashed collection of cute pups, jelly beans, self portraits, foggy photography, tangled plants, adventures, and aesthetic pictures. πŸ™‚ I’ll keep my captions to a minimum so you can just scroll and enjoy.

(Also happy Valentine’s day; I almost forgot. XD) Let’s do this!

Winter Palette {a Collection of Photos}

Hello, dears!

I’ve been taking lots of winter walks lately and getting pictures which are… kinda blah. Heh. It’s hard to find much variety and color in winter landscapes, you know? I think of blue and white as winter colors, but without snow, the palette is more like brown and gray. However, today I decided to try and embrace that, partially inspired by this lovely post, and pick out some of those photos to edit in a wintery, understated way.

Did they turn out aesthetic or just… brown? XD I don’t know, you’ll have to see what you think of my attempt! Read on for some interesting bits of winter I’ve collected for you. πŸ™‚

Notebook Therapy Reviews + Journaling

Hello, dears!

Yayyy, I’m so excited for my second Notebook Therapy review post! After my first one, they contacted me and asked if I wanted to review more things and I was like… YES PLEASE. They sent me these journals, a pencil case, and a new tote bag for free in exchange for this review, but of course I’ll give you guys my honest opinions on what I review however much I pay. *nods*

If you like aesthetic stationery supplies, bunnies, or the color blue, follow me! πŸ˜€

Thoughts On… {Self Care}

I think the self-care movement is, at its foundation, a socially-acceptable excuse for selfishness.Β

Yet I’m all for self-care! See, it’s just the self-care movement that makes me sad. And today I’m going to try to explain why a way that’s hopefully helpful and productive, not just a bunch of complaining – since that’s not good #selfcare however you look at it. πŸ˜‰

If you read this post and disagree – which, let’s be real, is gonna happen a lot – please still feel free to leave a comment below! I really want to hear from you. *nods* Either way, I hope this post makes you think, because we need more of that.

Okay. *deep breath* Here’s my take on self care as a Christian teen.

Sunbeams & Hay Bales

Hello, dears!

Yay, I finally get to share some of my favorite recent photos! Our cousins from Canada stayed at our house over New Years and we had many lovely adventures with them that will have to last us until we see them again. πŸ™‚

If kids (and sometimes) adults come over to our house and want to go outside, there’s a high chance we’ll take you to 1) the hay barn (basically an enormous, extremely dusty playground), or 2) one of the streams (which can provide hours of entertainment as well). As a bonus, they both make for some pretty fun pictures!

Enjoy this collection of sunbeams and hay bales and warm winter adventures!
