Morning Light Photography

Hello, dears!

Today I have some more lovely light photography for you! Instead of a photoshoot at golden hour, I took these in the morning. Sometimes I go outside to feed the rabbits or something and find too much beauty to leave unphotographed, which naturally means I postpone my other plans and take some pictures before the light changes. πŸ™‚

This time, instead of editing my photos as usual, I decided just to let the pictures shine as they are – terrible pun intended. I did edit a few very minimally, but for the most part these are straight out of the camera!

Enjoy the results of me wandering around the yard with a camera in dreamy lighting. πŸ™‚

Mule Rides & Sunsets

Hello, dears!

Remember when I used to post sunset pictures all the time? I don’t post them as much anymore, for some reason. But today I’m finally back with some more gorgeous sky paintings, as well as photos from a ride around the farm and more pictures of Eeyore, our pet donkey. πŸ˜€ I hope you enjoy this summer evening with me!

Of Donkeys and Magnolia Trees

Hello, dears!

Today’s post is going to be sort of an odd mix of photos which were taken on the same two evenings, so I decided to lump them together. πŸ™‚ My family and I were mulching our flowerbeds about a month ago, and it happened to be during my favorite time to photograph, a.k.a. the golden hour. Knowing me, you’ll not be surprised that I couldn’t resist photographing many things (including pet donkeys, magnolia trees, and random weeds) in the golden light. πŸ˜‰ Enjoy browsing through this summer evening!

Etcetera #8

Hello, dears!

Oh my, it has been MONTHS since my last “etcetera” post! My extra photos have been piling up and nagging me like an itch in the back of my mind, so I finally sat down and sorted them all out for my blog. πŸ˜‰ I hope you enjoy these many random pictures ranging from lightning to rope swings to disgruntled cats. Have fun browsing!

Happy Pups & Grumpy Cats

Hello, dears!

We recently visited our old farm and the area where we used to live because of some graduation parties, so I made use of the time to get plenty of cute pet pictures. πŸ˜‰ I didn’t get many of Pebbles, sadly, but I did photograph my cousins’ adorable newΒ  puppy and two of their three cats. I’m pretty pleased with how the photos turned out, and I hope you guys are too! Enjoy your daily dose of cuteness!

Sweet Sixteen Barn Dance

Hello, dears!

Remember how one of our friends had a barn dance at our shop last year for her birthday party? Well, this year we did it again and it was SO much fun! The shop was a mess, so it was a good thing we had a dance motivating us to clean it up. πŸ˜› I took plenty of pictures throughout the preparation and actual party, of course, and I hope you guys enjoy browsing through them!

Whatever Floats Your Boat {Pond Swimming}

Hello, dears!

Remember the post from last year about swimming in our duckweed-covered pond? Well, it’s swimming season again and “our pool is open!” XD It’s a rather greenish pool, but hey, it’s water, right?

One Sunday evening a couple of weeks ago, we all went down to the dock and my siblings went swimming and canoeing. Sort of. I stayed on dry land and took photos instead, heh heh. I managed to capture quite a lot of amusing action shots and funny expressions, which I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Ready? Set? Go!

Minty Fresh {Field Photoshoot}

Hello, dears!

Before I start this post, I just wanted to say thank you all SO much for your lovely birthday wishes! I had a wonderful day filled with love from friends and family, fun gifts, delicious food, a lovely walk in the woods, and a movie night. πŸ™‚ I can’t believe I’m 19. O.o And yes, I will hopefully post about my birthday gifts next, because I know you guys enjoy those posts (as do I). πŸ˜‰ So stay tuned!

But for now, I am SO excited to show you guys this photoshoot! I looked out the window one morning and saw that the wheatfield across the lane looked silver. It had just rained and the sun caught the bedewed wheat in a breathtaking way. I dropped everything and took heaps of pictures of all the little wonders I found at the edge of the field -including a large amount of ladybugs and water drops, which made for some amazing photos!

Have fun browsing through these minty-hued pictures!

A Flock of Feathers

Hello, dears!

On Easter weekend, we finally did it. We brought back seven hens to start a little flock at our farm. We’ve been enjoying our break from the poultry houses we owned at our old farm, but we decided seven chickens wouldn’t be that much work, and we go through about three dozen eggs a week, so… yeah, they will come in handy. πŸ˜‰

All the hens are pretty young, some in the pullet stage and some almost ready to lay, so we haven’t gotten any eggs yet. But it’s been fun taming them and watching them… and taking pictures. πŸ˜‰ They’re so much prettier and nicer than the boring old broiler-breeders we had at our poultry houses, ha ha!

I hope you enjoy meeting our new “pets,” my friends!
