10,000 Followers + Blogging Tips Course Release!

Hello, my friends!

AHHH. You already know from the title but HELP. GUYS. Thank you so incredibly much for 10,000+ followers on A Farm Girl’s Life! I honestly can hardly believe it. O.o I could go on about it for an entire post, but that might get a little tiring. All I can say is thank you. ❤

Of course I have to celebrate this milestone some way. *nods* I thought about doing a giveaway, but I wanted it to be something more than one winner can enjoy. So over the past several months I’ve been working hard on creating my first online course! 😀

If you remember from this post, I’m planning to create multiple video courses on topics like art, photography, and blogging. Since I’m celebrating 10,000 followers and I get comments/emails asking for blogging advice, I figured I’d make this first course on what I’ve learned from the past 7 years of blogging. I’m still not an expert, heh, but hopefully something I’ve learned will be of use to you guys.

If you don’t have a blog, enjoy skimming through the videos anyway! I’m always curious what the bloggers I follow are like in real life, and… well, this still isn’t real life, but you can maybe get to know me better in a video than through a post. Anyway, enough intro. Let’s get started!

So, the courses I make in the future will be paid ones, but this first mini course is free! It consists of two parts: first, a video full of tips and advice for things like your blog’s appearance, growth, and writing style.

Second, a video on my personal blogging process where I walk you guys through making a post from start to finish, from photographing to editing pictures to writing the actual post.

Let’s start with Part 1! I put some time stamps below the video for your convenience if you want to skim through or refer back to something later.

  • Introduction: 0:00-1:46
  • Blog Appearance: 1:46-9:52

    • Use your own photos + content whenever possible: 16:41
  • Blog Growth: 17:44-22:08
    • Focus on people, not numbers: 18:08
    • Build trust by posting consistently: 19:45

This video has less of me sitting there talking and more of a vlog style at the beginning with screen-sharing or whatever you call it as I make the post. 🙂

Success! You're on the list.

YAY! I’m so happy to have finally finished this tiny course! It took me a ridiculous amount of time to figure out, film, and edit, hehe, but I can’t wait to start making more courses for you guys in the future! The next one, the first “real” paid course, will be on “Hand Lettering + Typography.” If that’s something you’re interested in, type in your email above to get notified when I release it!

Thank you EVER SO MUCH once again for 10,000 followers, guys! What online courses would like to see next?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!

  1. Congratulations on 10,000 followers! I will have to check out your videos. With my own blog, so far, I am going against most advice about selecting a niche, so I’ve been posting about many different things and wondering whether I can still do well with it or if I can have multiple topics but organize it differently. Maybe, that’s a question others have. I don’t know. But, I wish you well with your new venture into blogging courses. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Susan! That’s a great question. Honestly I don’t have much of a “niche” either. I say I have a lifestyle blog so I can have an excuse to basically post whatever I want. XD Yes, I think organization is helpful. One idea might be to post about certain topics at certain times – maybe art once a month, photography once a month, for example. And as long as your readers are interested in what you write, they will be interested in reading your posts on a variety of topics!
      Thanks for the comment!

  4. Yayyyy! I’m so excited for this!! You did a great job with the video and I LOVE the backdrop! It was also so much fun to see your personality come through in the video (not that it doesn’t in your posts, but I think that it feels like you can get to “know” someone better in a video)! All of your tips are wonderful and super important! Also, congrats on 10,000 followers!! ✨😁

  5. CONGRATS ON SO MANY FOLLOWS!
I can’t imagine that many! I think it’s because my blog is so niche, but it is growing a bit lately. My goal is to get to 1,000 at some point, but I’m not too concerned about it. Those courses look great! I’ll have to check them out.
