Green & Glowing Things {a Springy Photoshoot}

Hello, my friends!

Spring is out in full force here and I am LOVING it. One of my favorite things about this season is how the sunlight soaks everything so deeply that it almost makes the colors glow with a light of their own. I had so much fun bringing that out in these photos from when I took a walk in the woods and found so many lovely tiny flowers and baby leaves to show you guys.

So here’s a little dose of beauty for your day (and your desktop, if you so desire). 🙂 Enjoy!

Green isn’t usually my favorite color, but in spring it almost is.

Especially the “brand new life” shade of green like in this picture. SO PRETTY.

The right lighting can make a photo, guys. This is just a bunch of tangled twigs, but because of the color and light in it, I personally love how the picture turned out!

MORE GOOD GREEN-NESS.

DSC_0086

I love the simplicity of this photo. Something about it kinda feels hopeful, you know?

DSC_0089

I always feel accomplished when I get a non-blurry photo of a butterfly, haha.

There are so many different shapes and sizes and kinds of white flowers on our farm. Everything from spring beauties to dogwoods to… I forget what these are.

DSC_0094

These little guys were scattered all over the ground like a bunch of tiny stars.

DSC_0093

Okay, these flowers are perfection. I think they’re spring beauties but I’m not entirely sure.

DSC_0091

One of my absolute favorite photos from this post! Ahhh!

DSC_0095

Look, even more white flowers! I love using my DSLR at a low aperture for close-up photos. That background blur… ❤

Here’s a sunny little sprout! And more bokeh!

DSC_0100

Bluets are some of the daintiest little wildflowers I know of.

DSC_0102

Finding a patch of ground adorned with moss and sprinkled with these tiny wildflowers brings me so much joy.

DSC_0107

Also as you guys know, AHH I LOVE MOSS.

DSC_0109

More white flowers! I feel like the rust-colored background just makes this photo.

DSC_0113

My goodness, I do believe this is the only vertical picture in the post today! Usually I take a lot of those.

DSC_0114

Flowers. Are. Amazing. *happy sigh*

DSC_0115

Another lovely thing about spring here is that redbud trees grow EVERYWHERE. One of the long roads I drive on quite often has stretches of fluffy pink and I’m just like…! HELP THIS IS MY FAVORITE SEASON EVER.

DSC_0118

I’ll end with a hearty dose of yellow from this patch of land cress by one of our fields. Megan and I should do a sisters photoshoot in it!

DSC_0123

Ahh. Shooting, editing, and posting those photos made me so happy. I hope a little of that joy spilled over into your day too. If you have the chance, go outside and enjoy the beautiful world God has given us! There’s a lot of awful stuff happening right now, as always, but… there are also flowers. So don’t give up hope, dears. Spring always comes again. 🙂

Which photo did you like best? What is your favorite wildflower?

Thanks so much for reading, my friends, and have a lovely day!
