Pretty Purple Bullet Journal Tour

Hello, dears!

I recently filled up my last bullet journal and got to start a new one – YAY! It’s so much fun to set up a new bujo, isn’t it? Since purple is my favorite color, I decided to go all out and make EVERYTHING violet-toned. I loooove how it turned out, and I hope you enjoy it too!

Also, before we start – guess what? I changed my domain name, finally! It’s now afarmgirlslife.com. Professional, huh? šŸ˜› I may self-host in the future, but I don’t want to start over with all my lovely followers… Anyway! Now you’re free to read the post. XD

First of all, we have the cover page. I probably spent way too much time on this for how often I’ll look at it, but I think it’s lovely. I used the double-tipped brush markers from the end of this post for the entire thing. I love the different tones of purple here.

bujo 1

The right page contains one of my favorite Bible verses that I want to keep fresh in my mind. ā¤ For the left, I attached a pretty envelope (from this set on my Etsy shop) to act like a pocket for carrying lists or spreads that I think of later but don’t have spare pages for.

bujo 2

This spread is pretty similar to the one I did in my last bullet journal, but it’s more… purple. šŸ™‚ The two washi tapes on here might be my new favorites. ā¤ In case you’re wondering, I use this system by circling the date with an event on the left, and writing the date and the event on the right. That way I can see at a glance my upcoming plans!

bujo 3

This quotes page is pretty basic, but still pretty. I kind of like how I used the washi tape in the center instead of on the edges.

bujo 4

My book spread is very minimalist this time – basically stripes of washi for the shelves, and then a little label for each month. I’m going to draw in the books as I go along.

bujo 5

Heh, guess what? I didn’t realize I made two quote pages until I took these photos. XD But hey, now I can write a LOT of quotes! Which is good, because I was running out of room in my last bujo.

bujo 6

On the left I have a page for blog post ideas, and the right is a space for passwords and other such information that I probably couldn’t keep track of otherwise. XD

bujo 7

I like having one place like this in which to collect my random thoughts. If I use it up, I might turn one of the quotes pages into more notes. šŸ˜‰

bujo 8

Okay, so I often have a hard time coming up with post ideas for my Etsy shop Instagram. (The handle is @thecolorboxstudio if you’d like to check it out. šŸ˜‰ ) I’ve recently been taking more process pictures and making more art, but I also wanted to have space to write down more out-of-the-box ideas.

And with that, we’ve come to the end of the yearly (actually half-yearly) part of my bujo and we can move on with the monthly section!

bujo 9

I folded over the washi tape from the previous page so it serves as a sort of bookmark when I close the book. Anyway, here’s my calendar! It took a while to draw all those squares, heh heh. It’s quite a handy thing to have, though, so it’s worth it! I like how you can see the events better when you write them in pen, but then they change and you have to cross them out and it gets all ugly and messed up, so… pencil it is. šŸ˜‰

bujo 10

I used to think trackers were unnecessary, but I’ve found them pretty helpful for keeping up with things like Etsy sales, or for motivating me to do things like do something outside each day. I also divided the extra space into weekly chunks to use for notes.

On the right we have my monthly goal page. I like having specific day-to-day goals as well as larger monthly ones. šŸ™‚

bujo 11

This is sort of complicated but also simple at the same time. šŸ˜› I know I could use my phone for keeping track of finances, but I really like writing things down and having this part of my life recorded in one book with the other lists.

bujo 12

I used to just have a yearly prayer list, but… yeah, that wasn’t very realistic. šŸ˜› I’ve found it works better to make a new one each month and not be afraid to write down the small requests as well as the large ones!

Last but not least, we have the daily section, which is just the to-do list for the next day. I obviously have more goals than I write down, but I like to write at least a couple things to give me some focus. šŸ™‚

bujo 13

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this little tour and maybe gained some inspiration for your own bullet journal!

Which spread was your favorite? Do you like using washi tape to decorate pages and lists too? Do you have your own bullet journal or planner?

Thanks so much for reading, dears, and have a lovely day!

  1. Ahh, I adore the purple aesthetic – it’s gorgeous. I always forget to use the part of the bullet journal that’s not the monthly spread, so I’ll have to work on that. XD. Oh well…

  2. Ahh your bujo is so aesthetic NO FAIR. I’m a weird bujo-er because I don’t like a ton of designs and “fluff” for me personally… I just find it so distracting? I definitely should get some washi tape though to spruce things up! šŸ™‚

    1. THANK YOUUU! Ha ha, well I try to make the monthly things not TOO time-consuming because I don’t always feel like putting a lot of time into them either. XD Yay, I’m so glad you liked the purple!

    1. Thanks, Hannah! WHOA, thank you SO much for that article! That’s super exciting and I’ll have to check into that a little bit more. For now I canceled the plan but kept my domain name since it looks like you can transfer that anyway. šŸ™‚

  5. You absolutely amaze me. I feel so much of my life has been wasted trying to please other people and never being me. You are a focused young lady. Be proud of yourself. It is a pleasure to watch you grow.

  7. So. Pretty! Washi tape is an awesome way to decorate things without going through too much trouble. šŸ™‚ ā¤
Tbh, I did start one once, but the fact that I'm so un-creative with that kind of thing… I never really even started. XD Also, my organization skills are zilch, so I CANNOT organize a whole bullet journal. Heh.

        1. Well I originally did that, but then I canceled the plan upgrade but used the “partial refund” option to keep my domain name but get rid of the plan. I’m sure there’s a way to just change your domain name, but honestly I’m not sure what it is because I haven’t really researched it. :’D

          1. Because i tried doing it and WordPress said they cannot. It was available first 30 days after you buy the domain. But in my case the WordPress text got away by me upgrading to the Premium plan. Then I thought of changing my domain name which they said i cant without paying for a new one. Anyways no harm done so far..!!
