Spring Sisters Photoshoot

featured image 14

Hello, dears!

Today I’m excited to post these sisters photoshoots Megan and I did a couple of weeks ago! The woods and flowers were so gorgeous! I think they really made the photoshoots.

As always, Megan took the pictures of me, I took the pictures of her, and I edited all of the above. I am running out of interesting introductory sentences, so shall we begin? XD Ahem.

Megan wanted to do a photoshoot with the wild poppies blooming near the Cedar House, and I wanted to do it with the buttercups too. So we did both!

Poppies are Megan’s favorite wildflower, and while they aren’t quite my favorite I quite like them too. 🙂

photoshoot (16)

Hee hee, I really like this one. 😀

Eventually the chain broke so I was like, “Aha, I’ll just wear it this way!” XD

I also found an adorable purple flower in the woods. I remember learning the name but I have now forgotten. :[] Anyone know?

I quite like this one too. 🙂 ❤

Oh, ha ha! So Megan was just sitting on this log…

photoshoot (35)

When she saw this feather and picked it up. She was like, “Ew, this smells bad.” AND THEN WE FOUND AN ANIMAL SKELETON IN THE CREEK IT WAS SO GROSS.

I love this little stone waterfall at the spot where you come down to the creek! ❤ (And also this picture.)

photoshoot (25)

We found a lovely patch of ferns that served quite well as a backdrop/setting.

I don’t know what’s on my pants…?

A couple of days after the first photoshoot we decided to redo some of the photos. This time we made a daisy (well, chamomile daisy) crown that worked a bit better. 🙂

photoshoot (7)

I like this one a lot for some reason…?

photoshoot (10)

HA HA this is one of my favorites. XD I don’t THINK I usually laugh like this, but I guess I don’t know…

And THIS one too! Although I’m not too happy with the editing. Oh well.

Annnd that’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed looking at those pictures. 🙂 I would love to hear your favorites! Have you ever made a flower crown?

Thanks so much for reading, dears, and have a lovely day!

  2. Fantastic photos! You are both very beautiful 🙂
I was helping weed my dad’s garden when I was little and I made a crown from this terrible vining weed that he hates. He took a picture of me and told me I was going to be a terrible farmer. xD

  3. I was SO excited to see this post!! I love when you post your recent photography! I just did something similar to this with my two younger sisters!! 🙂 It was a blast! 😉

I really like the lighting in all of the pictures! Did you edit any of the pictures? If so, what software/website do you use to edit your photos? How did you make the flower chain–I loved that!! 🙂 This was such a fun post! You definitely inspired me!

    1. Yayyy, I’m so glad to hear that! I love posting photography. 😀 And really? That sounds super fun!
Thanks so much! I actually edited all of them! I don’t always edit my photos – sometimes none of the pictures in a post are edited and sometimes all of them – but this time I edited some and decided edited the rest so they would all go together better. 🙂 I use picmonkey.com which I HIGHLY recommend. It’s super easy to use but still very powerful! Also yay, I’m so glad I could inspire you! 😀

      1. Wow, that is awesome! Did it take you a lot of time to edit them? Usually editing takes me an hour at least, lol. 😛 Ohh!! That is so funny–I use picmonkey.com, too! I agree! I also love using picmonkey.com for graphic design (mainly for my blog.)

  4. I think the tiny flower is a “mayflower”, or Houstonia caerulea. They’re all over in NH right now (I just got back from out there!).

Lovely photos. . . and lovely woods too! Speaking of dead things, my sister and I went out kayaking and there was a dead bird in the lake. . . ew. I can sympathize with you on that one!

    1. Really? Neat! Well that would make sense, since it bloomed in May. 🙂 Thanks for telling me!
And thank you again – I love the woods too! EWWWW that’s gross! Yeah, not the most fun. XD

  5. Ooh, nice pictures, Allison! I really like the one of Megan sitting in the creek, the ones of you and Megan sitting by the ferns, and the ones of you wearing the pretty pale green dress. I think this photo is my favorite, though: https://allisonsblog2.files.wordpress.com/2018/05/photoshoot-26.jpg?w=656&zoom=2
It’s really unique, and I love all the green surrounding Megan! 🙂
This afternoon I took a bunch of pictures of some daisies by our driveway, and it was so much fun! The lighting was really pretty. 🙂

  10. I’ve made a flower crown before…maybe three times? They didn’t turn out so well. 😛 Turns out that flower stems are very delicate things. XD Those woods ARE gorgeous – they’re so…fairy-ish? I guess? I love your dress and all the photos – They are honestly the prettiest! 😀

    1. Really? Aww, that’s too bad. And yes, it can be preeetty difficult if you have flowers with thin stems. It helps a lot to use a jack-knife or other sharp blade. *nods* And I KNOW, AREN’T THEY? I agree completely with your observation. And aww, thank you! I’m so glad you liked them. 🙂
