Pictures, Etc.

Ugh, I really need better names for these posts. XD Suggestions?

Annnyway, since you guys seem to enjoy random photography posts I enjoy posting them, I figured – let’s do more! 😀

****************

It had just rained and there was an interesting orangish tint to everything outside, different than the golden hour usually looks because it was so cloudy.

Ahh, beautiful rain drops.

DSCN1666 (1280x960)DSCN1667 (1280x960)

Maggie waded into the field, looking noble. XD

DSCN1669 (1280x960)DSCN1671 (1280x960)

HA HA look at her expression.

DSCN1674 (1280x960)

Okay, this picture might be a bit startling… You have been warned. 😛 He looks pretty angry, doesn’t he (or she)? This snapping turtle appeared in our lane one day and Maggie nearly went crazy. Snapping turtles are weird, ugly creatures. Blech.

DSCN1687 (1280x960)

Ahem. Let’s move on to cuter pictures… LIKE BABY BUNNIES EEEEE! This is the photoshoot I did to get pictures for selling them. *Sniff* Anyone want to buy a baby bunny? 😉

AHHH THEY’RE SO CUTE I CAN’T STAND IT.

Here’s Mulberry…

bunnies 2 (1280x853)

And Ginger…

bunnies 3 (1280x853)

And Herbert Naninger. 🙂 SO. CUTE. (Also if you’re wondering why Basil isn’t on here, it’s because we’re keeping her! So I didn’t need pictures for the listing.)

ISN’T THIS THE CUTEST?!

DSC_0784 (1280x853)DSC_0786 (1280x853)

Okay, after all that cuteness you might need an antidote so you don’t get too overwhelmed. Ready for another slightly creepy picture? Here we go.

DSCN1808 (1280x960)

XD Praying mantises are so weird. I got this interesting picture of one cleaning itself when we were studying them in Nature Study.

DSCN1816 (1280x960)

While we’re on the subject of bugs, Megan found three black swallowtail caterpillars outside and we took them inside to watch. We both got some neat pictures of the first one that hatched! 😀 Aren’t butterflies delightful creatures?

Aww thank you SO much! And you’re right, I do get a lot of great opportunities, especially living on the farm. 😉

                  1. True dat. I’m mostly too lazy to upload pictures from a camera, though. (aka I don’t know how) 🙂

                    1. Heh heh. XD Well if you stick the memory card from your camera into the side of your computer, it should pop up with a way to upload it.

    1. Aww THANK YOU!
Well it really helps to have a good camera – I would recommend the Nikon L830 for a great, easy to use but fair-priced option.
And mostly, just go looking for photo opportunities! The little things no one notices often make the best photos. A fun idea is to sit down in one spot and take pictures of whatever you can without moving from your spot. You might be surprised how neat grass and dirt and “boring” things can look through the camera lens! I hope that helps. 😊

        1. You’re quite welcome! OOH that sounds so neat! I’ve gone to the Golden Gate bridge too, but it was rather foggy and dark when we went, so I couldn’t see it that well. :/

  6. WOAH THOSE BUNNIES I WANT I NEED CAN I PET THEM OVER THE INTERNET. Ahem. And the color contrast with the butterfly and those flowers I can’t take this. Lovely pictures, Ojo!

    1. AHHH I KNOW! I feel you 100%, Ete. 🙂 Ooh, of course. Let me let you pet them virtually. Ahem. Their fur is so incredibly silky soft and long and loose enough to ruffle back and forth. If you put them in front of you they will likely put their little paws on your leg (but watch out for their sharp claws) and wiggle their nose and tickle you with their whiskers. Then they might hop into your lap and snuffle around and nudge your hand, then hop off again. How was that for virtual petting, PRETTY NICE, EH?!
Aww thank you, dear! I agree, I really like the butterfly pictures too. 🙂

        1. HA HA that’s so funny. XD But seriously, Ete, you MUST come over and see them in real life! Or at least Basil and the big bunnies because they might be sold in the time you could get here, but… *sniff* Wouldn’t that be great?!

  7. Oh, Allison, the bunnies are so so so cute!! Mulberry is really cute in that first picture of him…or her…whichever it is. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be able to buy one of the bunnies…I have no where to keep such an adorable pet.
The pictures of the butterfly on the flowers is really pretty. 🙂

LOL! The intro to this was hilarious. XD I LOVE your photos! And awww, those bunnies! 😄

Oh — I usually title photography posts depending on what the photos are of. Or something weird like “What I Saw Through My Camera Lens this Week” 😂 or “What My Camera Captured // Month • Year” XD idk. XD

    1. Aww thank you, dear! AHHH I KNOW! BUNNIES! Yeah, I really like the butterfly ones too. 🙂
Heh heh, yeah, I think Megan’s been bitten or pinched by a praying mantis before, but she didn’t seem to mind too much because she still holds them. XD
