I’ve been playing with watercolors a lot lately – specifically with brush lettering – so I decided to show you some of my paintings. 🙂

I really like this one too – ’cause it took a while to make all those dots and vines. XD

Here’s a tip: a good brush makes all the difference! I got a waterbrush from an art giveaway (I’m not sure what brand the brush is), and it has a really nice point that’s good for making tiny details:

  7. Those are amazing! I keep wanting to really get into calligraphy and painting, so this may finally give me the inspiration to actually get my tools out and do it. 🙂

    Good luck on your license tomorrow! I have my permit right now, but I’ll be getting my license here in 3-4 months, and it can be kinda nerve-wracking thinking about the test! I’m sure you’ll do great though! 😃

  13. These are all so nice, Allison! I love lettering things, but I’ve never tried using a brush to do it. Watercolors don’t like to cooperate with me, haha! I think my favorites are “Hello” and “Be still . . .”, but they’re all lovely! And your new header is really neat. 😀

  23. These were awesome! So professional! I love the creative lettering best, but the pictures are beautiful too! How did your drivers license test go? I hope really well!
    At the end of your post, when you asked the questions and said about your drivers license, it was all overlapped and hard to read, was that on purpose? Or was it a glitch? Just thought I’d tell you, LOL!

        1. Yessss! 😀 Well the driving part was super-duper easy but I didn’t know how to operate some of the things in my car (like the emergency flashers) but apparently that didn’t matter too much. 😀
