Hello, dears!

I hope you all had a marvelous Thanksgiving! I had the most exciting one ever, which I cannot wait to post about soon. But for now… I’m back with the second part of my pet photography collection! Today we shall visit our two cats and several chickens (including our baby chicks which are now almost grown up!).

This post might not be quite as adorable as the first one, but OH MY, the photos are much more amusing. :’D I hope you enjoy!

We shall start with Jinx, our very large, very black cat. He’s basically a mini panther, although it’s hard to tell his size in the pictures.

Jinx’s philosophy is that the world is foolish and useless and basically not worth your time, except for his handsome self, or course. And so he perpetually wears a bored and condescending look – if he deigns to look at you at all.

Black cats are quite hard to photograph, but the color does make their eyes pop!

Our next cat is… *cough, cough* not quite as handsome *cough*. :’D But Carmen, my little sister, ADORES him. And Megan, also my sister, photobombed the picture. XD

BAHAHAHA HIS EXPRESSIONS. Cats make the weirdest faces, particularly when my brother Jeff is holding them.

I AM ACTUALLY LAUGHING. TOM, WHAT ON EARTH? :’D :’D Caption this in the comments, guys! I want to know what he’s thinking. XD

However, despite his odd appearance, Tom can actually do a trick! Carmen taught him to high-five her and it is the CUTEST. THING. EVER.

GUYS. SERIOUSLY. And Tom’s just like… “Eh, I got this, human. Easy.” XD

I had to do a black and white before we move on… GAHH.

Okay, now for the chickens! Sadly, we only have one hen and one rooster left from our original small chicken flock, but the chicks are going strong! More on that soon. Emma Jean was snuggled down in the next box when we came for pictures. She looked a bit alarmed to see us.

Chickens are just amusing to me, simply by being chickens. :’D

And this… this is Charles. He was formerly called Buttercup, but that was before we found out that one of our hens could crow. O.o :’D And now he is unmistakably a rooster. HE IS SO SO ENORMOUS.

I kind of wanted to squish him because HELP, SO PUFFY. His feathers are so beautiful, especially when you’re used to the ugly white broiler-breeders we used to raise.

Can chicken faces be cute? No?

And now for the chicks who are chicks no longer! Guys, look how big they are! I kept wanting to take pictures of them but didn’t until the cuteness window had passed. 😦

HAHAHA. This one looks rather befuddled by the camera. “Wait… wait, now there are TWO humans, and one has this… this black thing and… and there’s, like, a bunch of chickens in the glass part and… wait, whaaa?”

“DO YOU THINK IT CAN SEE US? HIIII, BLACK THING.” (But seriously, isn’t this everyone at those video cameras in the store? :’D)

Heh heh. Carmen brought one of the pullets out for a closer picture and I think it turned out so cute, more because of her than the chicken. 😉
